Our founder, Charlie Wethered, studied History of Art at Edinburgh University before working in London galleries. In 2012, he competed on MasterChef and went on to work at Heston Blumenthal's Dinner, which led him to develop his own range of Asian-inspired canapés and plates.
Merging his two passions of food and art, Charlie started his own company which would cater for London’s art world events. From private views with champagne and canapés to bespoke private dinners or splendid parties, we at Quail understand the nuances of luxury audiences and always aim to curate events of the highest standard.
Combining the culinary expertise of our head chef Jean, a former chef at St John Restaurant, with the help of our events manager Harry and our marketing manager Emily, we have since completed over five hundred events for some of the world's leading galleries, fashion retailers, charities and schools, as well as private clients.
Based in Chiswick, we work with clients in London and further afield.
Award winning Canapés
Canapés are our speciality at Quail. For two consecutive years we have competed in the Country Life Canapé of the Year Awards and placed in the top three both times.
Our first event was a canapé reception for the Sladmore Gallery in 2012 and since then we have developed a canapé menu which is focused on East Asian and Middle Eastern flavours, with an emphasis on freshness and bold colours.
We believe that the drinks we provide are just as important as our delicious food. That’s why we are more than happy to take on drinks-only events.
From peach bellinis to cambodian mules, we have a wide range of cocktails on offer, as well as an extensive wine and beer list. We are also helping to pioneer the non-alcoholic movement in London’s events scene with our Low and No Alcohol menu which features Seedlip mocktails, non-alcoholic beers and kombucha. Staying sober has never been so enjoyable!
Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Quail London, we believe that a sustainable and environmentally friendly business is not only a good option but a necessity.
This is why we have invested in a fully electric vehicle to transport all of our goods, use metal straws for our drinks and have signed up to Olio to ensure that no leftovers from events go to waste.
